Kyo-Print is born after passing through nearly 20 processes, starting with product planning by a textile print maker, then stylization, manufacture of the template, proofing of the design, print preparation, production printing and a finishing treatment.
Takahashi Rensen Corporation is responsible for the finishing treatment, which adds significant value to the products.

Soaping process
This is a washing process which completely removes unstable dye or print paste by using soap or a reducing agent so the final product won't bleed. Soaping also optimizes hue, clarity, fastness and texture.

The Takahashi Rensen Corporation uses natural ground water from Atago Mountain. A water softening machine is used to treat the water prior to use.

Finishing treatments enhance the characteristics of the printed textile. We will use the appropriate treatment for each fabric, to improve the overall quality of fabric.

Fabric inspection
After the printed textile goes through the finishing treatment process, the result must be inspected. Fabric inspection is to strictly identify any variation in the accuracy of the texture or print. If any problem occurs, it will be immediately excluded as a defect.

After the fabric inspection, the product is rolled, and wrapped by automated machine. Finally, the product is personally inspected by the staff of Takahashi Rensen Corporation.

Takahashi Rensen Corporation recycles the paper tubes which are used to roll up textiles. We collect 300 paper tubes a day from 40 to 50 fiber factories in Kyoto City.
